About SiteTEC
Hello everyone, my name is Steven Smith and I am currently based in Northern Kentucky. I am a retired university professor specializing in technology. My professional career has been prolific, starting as a professional musician/conductor, teaching music and technology in public schools, and teaching technology at several universities.
My interests in technology began when I was working as a professional musician and teacher and discovered the power of the computer and synthesizer. My interests eventually led me to pursue additional coursework and eventually, a doctoral degree in educational technology and instructional design.
Over the past 15 years, I have freelanced as an independent web designer. Most of my early work was done for friends and small businesses. It was just this year (2008) that I decided to formalize my freelance work and start SiteTEC. I plan initially to limit my services to small business, individuals and education.
For now, I am enjoying my time with my kids, maintaining and designing websites, consulting and when time permits, I love to get out and play golf or volunteer my time reading to young people in local schools.
